Mark A. Latina, MD
Glaucoma & Laser Surgery
Dr. Mark Latina is internationally recognized for pioneering Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT), now a standard treatment for glaucoma worldwide. An Associate Clinical Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine, he has published extensively and holds multiple patents in glaucoma laser technology. Dr. Latina trained at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, where he completed residency and fellowship in glaucoma. He remains active in clinical research, advancing new approaches to glaucoma management, and provides patients with both innovative therapies and trusted long-term care.

Douglas Evans, MD
Cataracts
Dr. Douglas Evans is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract, glaucoma, and laser vision correction. A graduate of Columbia University and Dartmouth Medical School, he completed his residency at SUNY Health Science Center. 

Dr. Evans performs more than 1,000 cataract surgeries each year and is known for combining surgical skill with attentive patient care. He is on staff at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, Winchester Hospital, and Massachusetts Eye and Ear, where he also serves as an instructor in ophthalmology.

Jack V. Greiner, MS, OD, DO, PhD, FAASS
Corneal Disease & Dry Eye, Laser Vision Correction
Dr. Jack Greiner is a board-certified ophthalmologist, surgeon, and scientist with more than 30 years of experience. He has authored over 130 publications and holds six U.S. patents in dry eye and ocular surface disease. Dr. Greiner completed advanced research fellowships at Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and the Schepens Eye Research Institute, where he continues to investigate ocular surface conditions. He has served as investigator on NIH grants and FDA trials while providing clinical expertise in corneal disease, dry eye, and refractive surgery.

Terry L. N. Chin, OD
Contact Lenses & Optometry
Dr. Terry Chin is a board-certified optometrist who has cared for patients at Andover Eye for more than 20 years. He specializes in contact lens fitting, including specialty lenses for keratoconus, and provides comprehensive eye care with a focus on ocular disease management. A graduate of the New England College of Optometry, Dr. Chin is also assistant professor and clinical faculty at his alma mater. 

He contributes to clinical research through Ophthalmic Research Associates and remains active in the Boston community where he was the first optometrist at the Chinatown Neighborhood Health Center.

Jason R. Chin, OD, FAAO
Contact Lenses & Clinical Research
Dr. Jason Chin is a fellowship-trained optometrist specializing in cornea and contact lenses. A graduate 
of McGill University and the New England College of Optometry, he completed a cornea and contact lens residency and was awarded the American Optometric Foundation’s George Mertz Award for residency excellence. 

At Andover Eye, Dr. Chin provides advanced contact 
lens care and is active in clinical research, serving as 
an investigator in national trials. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and has published and presented internationally on contact lens innovations.

Daniel J. Townsend, MD
Ophthalmic Plastics
Dr. Daniel Townsend is a board-certified oculoplastic surgeon and faculty member at Harvard Medical School and Tufts Medical School. He completed residency and fellowship training at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, where he later co-directed the Oculoplastics Service. 

Dr. Townsend is co-author of the widely used Atlas of Eyelid Surgery and specializes in procedures that improve both function and appearance, including eyelid reconstruction, blepharoplasty, and cosmetic facial surgery. His expertise in complex oculoplastic procedures and teaching has made him a trusted surgeon and mentor in his field.

Clifford M. Michaelson, MD
General & Neuro-Ophthalmology
Dr. Clifford Michaelson is a neuro-ophthalmologist and Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Neurology at Boston University. A graduate of Princeton and NYU School of Medicine, he completed residency at NYU and fellowship at Columbia-Presbyterian. Dr. Michaelson has served as director of Neuro-Ophthalmology and Glaucoma Services at Boston Medical Center and practices at Massachusetts Eye and Ear and community hospitals.

He has co-authored scientific papers and participated in ophthalmic clinical trials. Patients rely on his expertise in treating conditions such as optic nerve disease, double vision, and visual complications from neurological disorders.

Anna Georgacopoulos, OD
Optometry & Cataracts
Dr. Anna Georgacopoulos is a board-certified optometrist with training in primary eye care and ocular disease. A graduate of the New England College of Optometry, where she earned clinical honors, she also completed a residency in primary care optometry at the Manchester VA Medical Center.

At Andover Eye, she provides comprehensive exams, contact lens fittings, and management of conditions such as dry eye and cataracts. Known to patients as “Dr. G,” she is committed to patient education and building long-term relationships.

Peter L. Lou, MD
Retinal Disease, Laser Surgery, Diabetic Eye Disease
Dr. Lou has been in private practice, specializing in vitreo-retinal diseases and surgery for over 25 years. He is senior surgeon at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. A diplomatic of the American Board of Ophthalmology, his post-doctoral training was done at the University of Toronto, with clinical and research fellowships in Ottawa and at the Retina Associates in Boston.

He has been on both the teaching staff in ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School and a preceptor for fellowship trainees since 1979. Dr. Lou is the past Director of the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary Diabetes Clinic and Ultrasound Clinic and the past Assistant Director of the Mass Eye and Ear Retina Service.

David H. Hollander, MD, MBA
President & Chief Scientific Officer, Andover Eye

As President and Chief Scientific Officer at Andover Eye, Dr. Hollander guides the practice’s strategic direction and commitment to exceptional patient care.

His career includes senior leadership roles across the ophthalmic and biopharmaceutical industries, where he has led global clinical development, study design, and therapeutic advancement for several leading research organizations.

Dr. Hollander completed his medical training at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by an Ophthalmology residency at UCSF and a Heed Fellowship in Cornea and External Disease at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA. He also holds a BS in Chemistry from Stanford University and an MBA from the Wharton School, and he serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at UCLA.

Prachi Dua, MD, MPH
Medical Director, Andover Eye
Ophthalmologist & Cornea Specialist

Dr. Prachi Dua is a board-certified ophthalmologist and cornea specialist dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient-centered eye care. As the Medical Director at Andover Eye, she leads the practice with a focus on clinical excellence, compassionate care, and the integration of advanced diagnostic and surgical technologies.

Raised in New York, Dr. Dua completed the competitive combined CUNY Brooklyn College–SUNY Downstate B.A.–M.D. Medical Program. She went on to earn her Master of Public Health (MPH) at SUNY Downstate as well, where her research centered on improving health education and preventing blindness through community health worker programs.

Dr. Dua completed her preliminary year in Internal Medicine at North Shore University Hospital–Long Island Jewish Medical Center, followed by an Ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate, where she served as Chief Resident. She then pursued advanced fellowship training in Cornea and External Disease at the renowned Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital (MEETH). She later joined MEETH as a full-time attending surgeon from 2018–2024 before relocating to Massachusetts.

 Today, Dr. Dua brings her expertise in comprehensive ophthalmology to patients at Andover Eye, where she is committed to ensuring every patient receives individualized, evidence-based treatment in a welcoming environment.

Mark B. Abelson
MD, CM, FRCSC, FARVO
Cataract & Corneal Disease

Dr. Mark Abelson founded Andover Eye in 1976, establishing one of the nation’s first multi-specialty eye care practices. A graduate of McGill University and trained at Harvard Medical School’s Schepens Eye Research Institute, he is internationally recognized for his work in ocular pharmacology, allergy, and dry eye. 

Dr. Abelson has authored more than 600 publications and played a pivotal role in the approval of over 30 ophthalmic drugs. He is Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School, Emeritus Surgeon at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, and Chairman and Founder of Ora, Inc., the world’s leading independent ophthalmic research organization.
